Superintendent Albrecht announces retirement at BOE meeting


MARYVILLE, Mo. - It was a routine Maryville R-2 Board of Education meeting, until it was time to wrap things up. As this month's meeting came to a close, Superintendent Becky Albrecht announced that she would be retiring.

When asked if there was a recent reason why she decided to retire, Superintendent Albrecht said retirement after 30 years of work was always the plan.

She adds she wanted to do it early enough in the school year so that the district had enough time to transition to a new leader.
