NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - Award-winning author and illustrator Bruce Arant is bringing his talents to Nebraska City for a special youth drawing workshop on May 11.

Hosted at the Morton-James Public Library’s Kimmel Gallery starting at 10 a.m., this workshop promises an exciting opportunity for children to unleash their creativity by drawing a pirate hamster, inspired by the Many Books One Community Hamster Hunt.

Bruce Arant is known for his Golden Sower-winning children’s books and being a versatile artist skilled in various mediums, including chalk pastel, oil pastel, graphite, ink, colored pencil, and watercolor.

Participants will have the chance to meet the author himself and learn the art of character drawing, allowing them to craft their own unique stories through illustration.

This free event is open to children from Kindergarten through 6th grade. No registration is required. For more information, contact the library at 402-873-5609.
