MARYVILLE, Mo. - After nearly three years of service, a part at the Maryville Water Treatment plant needs replaced.
City Manager Greg McDanel says the granular activated carbon filter was first installed in 2021, but has a life expectancy of about three years.
The city council approved a $379,000 contract with Calgon Carbon Corporation for purchase and installation.
McDanel adds that this may need to be replaced again before the construction and completion of a new water treatment plant.
