Red Oak woman faces slew of charges after arrest

RED OAK, Iowa - A Red Oak woman finds faces a slew of serious charges after a recent police operation.

The Red Oak Police Department, with assistance from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at a residence on E. Nuckols Street.

The search resulted in the arrest of 40-year-old Jodie Michele Vanhouten, who now faces a range of charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of prescription pills, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

She also faces charges of using a juvenile to commit certain offenses and child endangerment, reflecting the gravity of the situation.

Vanhouten was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where she remains held on a $10,000 bond.
