ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The St. Joseph Public Library will be hosting a true crime presentation this week.
The event, titled "True Crime Time: Skeletons in the Closet and on the Screen," takes a closer look past Hollywood's glitz and glamour, and tells us the truth of the industry.
Leading the presentation is Dr. Katie East, a forensic anthropologist and science communicator, who has been working as a forensic anthropologist since 2018.
East has worked in various settings such as museums, labs, and other field settings.
The Branch Manager of the St. Joseph Public Library, Jen Wildhagen, is hoping that the audience will gain a better understanding as to what a forensic anthropologist is and what exactly we can learn from their line of work.
This presentation will be held at the downtown library this Thursday at 6 p.m.
