JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Governor Mike Parson has officially declared May as Beef Month in Missouri, celebrating the hard work and dedication of cattlemen and cattlewomen across the state.
In a press release, Missouri Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn praised Missouri beef producers for their resilience and dedication.
Despite challenges such as drought and rising input costs, Missouri remains a national leader in beef production, contributing significantly to the state’s economy. With Missouri ranking third nationally in beef cow numbers and maintaining a strong presence in total cattle production, the industry plays a crucial role in the state's economy.
