ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is hosting a free firearms clinic on Sunday, June 9 in St. Joseph.
The clinic will kick off with a classroom session from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the MDC Regional Office, delving into the fundamentals of firearms handling and safety.
After a lunch break, participants will reconvene at 1 p.m. at the Pigeon Hill Conservation Area shooting ranges for practical experience.
This program is designed for women aged 16 and older who want to explore firearms for hunting and target shooting.
Various types of firearms, including rifles, pistols, and shotguns, will be discussed and made available for use at the shooting ranges.
MDC will provide all firearms and ammunition, though attendees are welcome to bring their own if preferred.
Advanced registration is required, and interested participants can sign up by calling the St. Joseph Office at 816-271-3100.
