NEOLA, Iowa - In the wake of recent severe weather, local and regional organizations are rallying to support affected residents in southwest Iowa.
NAMI Southwest Iowa is one of those organizations, providing crucial mental health services and supplies to impacted individuals.
30 therapists with the organization have volunteered to offer free assistance to those grappling with the emotional aftermath of the storms.
Since the Saturday following the tornado outbreak, NAMI has been providing breakfast and lunch for residents in one city, entirely through donated supplies and support from local businesses and individuals.
Additionally, they're coordinating with an area food pantry to distribute food at multiple locations, ensuring access for all affected individuals. Free therapy services are available by contacting NAMI Southwest Iowa directly.
