CLARINDA, Iowa - Visitors and entertainers from around the world will gather this weekend in Clarinda, the birthplace of Glenn Miller, to celebrate the music and legacy of the legendary American bandleader.
The festival will feature exciting performances, including the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra.
Historian Dennis Spragg will also be on hand to give a timely presentation on 1944, the year Miller was sent to Europe to entertain and staff the Allied Radio Network.
Spragg adds that attendees can explore the Glenn Miller Birthplace Museum and Birthplace Home, enjoy stage shows, picnics, dances, and historical displays, and connect with fellow Miller fans from around the globe.
