JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Gov. Mike Parson has proclaimed June as Dairy Month in Missouri.
Gov. Parson and the First Lady, who have personal experience with dairy farming, expressed their support and appreciation for Missouri’s dairy producers.
"Working on a dairy farm is not for the faint of heart," Parson said, commending the dedication of farmers who provide nutritious products.
State officials highlighted Central Dairy's long-standing presence and praised the state's dairy producers for their commitment to quality.
Established in 1920, Central Dairy has been a staple in the community, known for its popular ice cream counter.
The Missouri dairy industry is valued at nearly $242 million, contributing over $2.1 billion to the state’s economy with 340 Grade A dairy farms. For more information, visit agriculture.mo.gov or modairy.org.
