JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation reminds deer hunters to apply online for a chance to participate in over 150 managed deer hunts across the state.
These hunts, which take place from mid-September through mid-January, include archery, muzzleloading, shotgun, and modern firearms at designated conservatiaon areas, parks, wildlife refuges, and other public lands.
Special hunts are also available for youth, new hunters, and people with disabilities. Hunters are selected through a weighted random drawing.
Results will be announced starting August 15, and successful applicants will receive area maps and hunt information by mail. For more details and to apply starting July 1, visit mdc.mo.gov.
