MDC to host gardening workshop in St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is inviting the public to the Cultivating Native Gardens Workshop on Saturday, June 29th at 1 p.m. at the Center for Joy in St. Joseph.

This workshop will teach participants how to use native plants to create their dream garden while benefiting the environment.

Topics include planting for shade, rain collection, butterflies, and birds, as well as home landscaping techniques. A presentation will start at 1 p.m., followed by a question and answer session with experts.
