JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri Farmers Care, a coalition of the state's agricultural organizations and agribusinesses, is now accepting applications for the Missouri Agriculture Stewardship Award.
This new award honors Missouri farmers and ranchers who demonstrate exceptional care in managing land, natural resources, and animals.
The award is supported by partners including the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council, Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, and the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service. The award highlights innovation,
stewardship, and diligence in agricultural practices. Private landowners manage 93% of Missouri's land, with 27 million acres used for farming and ranching.
The 2025 award will be presented at winter agricultural conferences and includes a $5,000 honorarium. Recipients will also speak at events and host on-farm tours showcasing their conservation practices.
