BETHANY, Mo. - The South Harrison County R-II School Board of Education discussed new policy updates for policy.
Superintendent for South Harrison R-II Michael Estes says they discussed policy GCBA, which deals with Personal Staff Compensation.
With ensuring more validation for the completed courses with official transcripts, the district can now honor correct hours for people on the salary schedule.
The board also updated Policy GDBDA, which supports staff leave. It has now been switched to accept hourly leave, instead of the district's older policy of one-to-four hours off equaling a half day.
This can ensure more flexibility with the district's staff, and it will also improve helping keep teachers in front of their students.
