DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is inviting hunters to sign up for the Iowa Doe Harvest Registry, a program connecting hunters with farmers to help manage deer populations by harvesting antlerless deer.
The registry, available since the mid-2000s, is now easier to access online. Hunters and farmers can sign up at the Iowa DNR website, selecting their preferred hunting seasons and regions of the state.
The registry is a critical tool in controlling deer numbers at state, county, and local levels. For more information or to join, visit iowadnr.gov and click on the Deer Hunting section.
