MoDOT to close section of Route VV next week

CONCEPTION, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will close a section of Route VV in Nodaway County for bridge work at the Platte River Bridge, west of Conception.

Route VV will be closed from Route AH to Mercury Road next Tuesday through Thursday, and potentially November 18-19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Crews will be taking core samples from the bridge as part of preparation for its replacement, scheduled for 2026. MoDOT reminds drivers to buckle up, stay off their phones, slow down, and move over in work zones.
