JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.- The Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Missouri Grown Program is now accepting applications from Missouri school districts and Early Care and Education Centers (ECE) for the Promoting Specialty Crops in Missouri Schools 2024-26 Reimbursement Program.
Eligible schools can apply for up to 4,000 dollars, and ECE centers for up to $2,000, to buy specialty crops like fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey, and syrup directly from Missouri farmers.
Applications are open until Friday, November 22, with awards announced in December. Schools and ECEs can make purchases and conduct educational activities about specialty crop production through December 31, 2026.
