AKMA preparing for annual membership exhibition

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art (AKMA) is hosting the Opening Reception for its 51st Annual Membership Exhibition on Friday, January 17, from 4 to 7 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 6 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, celebrating the talent and creativity of regional artists. Since its launch in 1975, this exhibition has become a cornerstone of the museum’s mission to support local artists.

Open to all AKMA members, the exhibition allows artists to showcase up to two recent works across ten categories, drawing participants year after year.

The Membership Exhibition highlights the vibrancy of the region’s creative community, with many past participants gaining recognition and even hosting solo shows at the museum.
