MARYVILLE, Mo. - Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County has named Hilary Steinman and her two children, Harper and Maddox, as the 15th partner family to receive a Habitat home in Maryville.
The announcement was earlier this month at Northwest Missouri State University, where Steinman has worked as a custodian for six years.
Steinman was overcome with emotion upon learning she would soon own the new three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 123 South Mulberry St. She described the moment as a blessing.
The home is being built in partnership with the Northwest Technical School’s building trades program, with additional support from volunteers, local businesses, and Steinman herself, who will contribute “sweat equity” hours to the project.
Habitat for Humanity homes are sold at no profit and with zero-interest mortgages, helping families achieve affordable homeownership. For more information, visit nodawayhabitat.org.
