MDC says turkey hunters can now apply for managed hunts

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri turkey hunters can apply online throughout February for the 2025 spring turkey managed hunts through the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC).

Drawing results will be posted starting March 15. The spring turkey youth hunting season is set for April 12-13, followed by the regular season running from April 21 to May 11.

A key regulation change from 2024 remains in effect—hunters on private land can shoot from a half-hour before sunrise until sunset, while public land shooting hours remain limited to 1 p.m.

The MDC’s 2025 Spring Turkey Hunting Regulations booklet will be available in March where permits are sold. Hunters can purchase permits online, through the MDC website, or via the MO Hunting mobile app.
