RAVENWOOD, Mo. - A three-vehicle crash west of Ravenwood on U.S. Highway 136 left one man dead and another seriously injured.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday when an 85-year-old Maryville man driving a 2023 Acura RDX failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling south on Route E.
His vehicle collided with a 2009 Cadillac D-T-S heading east on 136 Highway, driven by a 58-year-old man from Parnell. The impact sent the Cadillac into a third vehicle, a Chevrolet Silverado, which was stopped at a stop sign.
The Parnell man was pronounced dead. The Maryville driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
The 30-year-old Chevy driver from Ravenwood sustained minor injuries and was taken to a Maryville hospital by private vehicle. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
