JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Veterans Commission has launched a new digital pre-certification application for burial, making it easier for vVeterans and their families to secure burial benefits at state Veterans Cemeteries.
The system allows applicants to electronically pre-certify, submit documents, and track their application status in real-time. Officials say the system provides a more accessible, efficient process while leveraging modern technology.
Applicants can access the tool through the Missouri Citizens Portal by creating an account. Paper applications and assistance from Veterans Service Officers remain available.
Developed with the Missouri Office of Administration’s IT Services Division, the system streamlines workflows, speeding up approvals and integrating with existing systems.
The effort is part of a broader initiative to modernize state services for Missouri citizens. For more information on burial eligibility and the new application, visit mvc.dps.mo.gov/cemeteries or call 573-751-3779.
