NW and Mosaic in Maryville announce partnership

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Mosaic Medical Center - Maryville and Northwest Missouri State University are teaming up to boost support for Bearcat athletics.

The new partnership means Mosaic will now provide all seven certified athletic trainers for Northwest’s teams, an increase from the previous arrangement where the university used a mix of Mosaic trainers and its own staff.

Officials say the collaboration enhances the health and safety of Bearcat student-athletes while strengthening ties to the Maryville community.

Northwest’s Athletic Director, Dr. Andy Peterson, says the agreement ensures sustainable athletic training coverage, helping student-athletes excel in both performance and recovery.

The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to prioritizing health, performance, and community engagement while enhancing the student-athlete experience.
