Popular gas station opens location in St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A popular gas station chain has opened it's first location in St. Joseph. QuikTrip opened it's door yesterday on Frederick Avenue, off of I-29.

The 24-hour gas station has created a buzz in the community and is a reflection of the city's appeal, according to the manager of the new gas station.

Hundreds went to the gas station yesterday to buy various food items that it serves inside. St. Joseph is now one of 56 other Missouri cities with at least one QuikTrip store.

There are approximately 1,000 stores in 17 states. The next closest QuikTrip is in Platte City.
