MARYVILLE, Mo. - Maryville has enacted a temporary moratorium on manufactured homes in residential zoning districts.

The City Council approved the measure to allow time for reviewing and updating regulations on these structures.

City Manager Greg McDanel says concerns were raised about how manufactured homes could impact neighborhood stability and land use compatibility.

The moratorium will remain in effect for up to four months or until new regulations are adopted. It does not apply to existing manufactured homes, repairs, or structures with permits already issued.
