Celebration of life for former President Dr. Dean L. Hubbard

Northwest Missouri State University is hosting a celebration of life for former President Dr. Dean L. Hubbard this morning. The public event will take place at 10:30 in the Mary Linn Auditorium at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts. Doors open at 9:30, with a slideshow starting at 10 a.m.

For those unable to attend in person, the event will be available to watch via live stream.

After a private family luncheon, the public is invited to a bell ringing ceremony at 1:30 p.m. at the Bell of ’48, located south of the Administration Building. This historic campus bell is rung to celebrate milestones and honor those in the Northwest community who have passed.

Dr. Hubbard, served as president of Northwest from 1984 to 2009, passed away on March 23 at the age of 85. In lieu of flowers, his family has requested donations to the Dean and Aleta Hubbard Scholarship at the university.
