People interested in learning more about the basics of multiple methods of archery should sign up for the Missouri Department of Conservation’s program “Learning Archery: All Methods” at MDC’s Andy Dalton Range and Outdoor Education Center.
MDC Assistant Outdoor Education Center Manager Steve Govero will cover the basics of several methods of archery. Types of archery he will discuss will include the compound bow, long bow, crossbow, and atlatl. This program will feature both a classroom portion and an outside portion where participants will have a chance to shoot various types of archery equipment in a hunting situation.
Archery equipment will be provided by the Dalton Range. Though this program is free, registration is required to participate.
This event will be on April 13th from 3-4:30 p.m. at The Dalton Range located at 4897 N. Greene County Farm Road 61. To register for this program and more go to MDC.MO.GOV/EVENTS. There are limited seats available so make sure to apply before it is too late.
