Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville is expanding the prenatal service at the hospital's Albany location

Expecting mothers in northwest Missouri now have a new option for prenatal care, thanks to a growing partnership at Mosaic Medical Centers. Dr.Lorraine Dodson, a women's health and maternity provider at Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville, is helping launch a new prenatal service at the hospital’s Albany location with Dr. Angelia Martin.

Dr. Martin says the new service allows patients to begin prenatal visits closer to home with her at the Albany facility.

"They would viist with the obstetrician first and then they would do thier prenatal visits with me up until about 20 weeks. And then they would visit again with the obstetrician, like with Dr. Dodson. And then again come back and we would continue prenatal care all the way up until about 34-36 weeks and then they would go back to Dr. Dodson and contineu seeing her until delivery.", says Dr. Martin. 

Dr. Martin says she would then continue to provide postnatal care for both mom and baby.

This expanded service aims to bring more accessible and coordinated care to families across the region.
