The final KXCV-KRNW Bearcat Coaches Show of February featured the Northwest Track & Field team as they begin preparations for the NCAA Indoor Championships and the Northwest Tennis team as they enter their second weekend of the spring season.

The Bearcats will be sending seven student-athletes to compete in the indoor championships in Pittsburg, KS on March 8 and 9 after great showings at the MIAA Indoor Championships on the Northwest campus last weekend.

Senior Kevin Schultz and freshman Omar Austin, a pair of record-setting athletes, joined the show with head coach Brandon Masters to discuss the success they've experienced this winter, and how to carry it over to the final indoor meet of the year.

Mark Rosewell began his 35th season as the head tennis coach at Northwest Missouri State last weekend with a 4-2 win over Maryville University for the men's team and a 4-1 win over Maryville for the women's squad. The Bearcats face a pair of challenges this weekend against ranked opponents as they square off with Drury and Indianapolis in Springfield. Rosewell and two student-athletes, junior Marta Ferrando and freshman Fabian Calloud, stopped by the Bearcat Coaches Show to discuss the upcoming weekend.
