Northwest Missouri State hung tough with Central Missouri Saturday afternoon, but a late run by the Jennies helped them pull out a 58-54 win in Maryville.
The Bearcats (14-6, 9-5 MIAA) led UCM 47-38 in the fourth quarter, but the Jennies outscored the Bearcats 19-4 to take a six point lead with 29 seconds remaining.
Peyton Kelderman led Northwest with 11 points.
Mallory McConkey added 10 points.
Jayna Green contributed six rebounds and matched a career-high with five blocked shots.
Northwest will be back in action Saturday evening at 5pm in St. Joseph against Missouri Western. Pregame begins at 4:30pm on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9.
