Northwest Missouri State rolled through William Woods 70-35 in an exhibition Saturday evening in Maryville.
The Bearcats held the Owls to 20-percent shooting and scored 25 points off 14 WWU turnovers.
Freshman Jillian Fleming came off the bench and provided a spark for the 'Cats hitting her first six shot attempts. Fleming finished with a game-high 17 points.
Reigning MIAA Freshman of the Year Molly Hartnett put up 13 points and four assists.
Emma Atwood, playing for the first time since a knee injury ended her 2020-21 season just four games in, scored five points and pulled down eight rebounds.
Northwest opens the regular season Friday at home against Southwest Minnesota State. The Bearcats then play Minnesota-Crookston Saturday evening. Both games will start at 7:30 with pregame beginning at 7pm on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9.
