The No. 2-ranked Northwest Missouri State University secured a 10-point win over the Pittsburg State University Gorillas Monday at Bearcat Arena.
The Bearcats won their 22nd straight MIAA contest and moved to 13-1 on the season. Northwest is a perfect 6-0 in MIAA play. Pittsburg State fell to 4-10 overall and 3-5 in league play.
Northwest improved its overall win streak to 11 in a row as four Bearcats reached double-figure scoring. Diego Bernard and Trevor Hudgins led the way with 18 points apiece. Wes Dreamer tacked on 12 points, while Luke Waters tallied 11 points. Dreamer grabbed a game-high seven rebounds.
Northwest will return to action Thursday against the Washburn Ichabods. Northwest will travel to Topeka, Kansas, for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off at Lee Arena.
