The No. 18-ranked University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos posted a 76-75 overtime win over the No. 2-ranked Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats at Hamilton Field House.
The Bronchos (16-2 overall, 11-1 MIAA) withstood a shooting barrage from Bearcat junior Trevor Hudgins and hung on for a one-point victory snapping Northwest's 14-game winning streak. The Bronchos extended their win streak to 12 in a row. Northwest drops to 16-2 overall and 9-1 in the league. The Bearcat loss also snapped a 25-game MIAA winning streak and a 23-game road winning streak.
Hudgins tied his own school record by draining 11 three-pointers as he tallied a game-high 39 points.
Northwest will return to action Saturday in Wichita, Kan., against the Newman University Jets. Tip is set at 3:30 p.m. at Fugate Gymnasium on the Newman campus.
