Northwest 82, Missouri Southern 71

Missouri Southern battled to hang with Northwest Missouri State Tuesday evening, but the Bearcats were too much in an 82-71 win.

Northwest (20-2, 13-1 MIAA) earned its 20th win of the season, marking the 11th year in a row that the 'Cats have picked up at least 20 victories.

The Bearcats led by seven at halftime, but began to pull away in the second half. The lead 23 points twice in the second half.

Trevor Hudgins led Northwest with 24 points, five assists and no turnovers.

Three players finished with 11 points in the game, including Wes Dreamer, Mitch Mascari and Isaiah Jackson.

The Bearcats go on the road this week when they face Missouri Western in St. Joseph. Tip off is set for 7pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5, KRNW 88.9 begins at 6:30pm.
