This week's Bearcat Coaches Show highlights Northwest basketball's continued road swing which makes stops out west this weekend, and the resumption of the indoor track & field season on Saturday.

Northwest Missouri State hit the track for the first time this winter back in December. Hughes Fieldhouse will be active again Saturday with the Coach Richard Alsup Open. It is the second of five indoor meets this winter, including the MIAA Championships in late February. Head coach Brandon Masters and seven-time All-American Chloe Saenz sat down with John Coffey to discuss the upcoming opportunities and getting back on the track.

Northwest men's basketball faces a pair of tough tests this week with road trips to Nebraska Kearney and Fort Hays State. Head coach Matt Keeley and junior guard Ja'Vion Byers joined the show to talk about the MIAA battles.

Bearcat women's basketball rolled through Warrensburg and Topeka, KS last week with wins over Central Missouri and Washburn. Northwest had chances to beat UNK and Fort Hays when they last met two weeks ago, but couldn't close them out. They can do it this Thursday and Saturday with two more contests away from home. Head coach Austin Meyer and junior guard Ella Moody discuss last week's success and this week's challenges.
